If your GP is in England and supports electronic prescriptions, you can order medicine through LloydsDirect. And there's no need to tell them you've signed up – we’ll take care of that for you.
Each time you order medicine, we request a prescription from your GP.
Your GP sends us an electronic prescription, which usually takes 1 to 2 days.
We cover the cost of delivery, so using LloydsDirect does not cost your GP anything extra.
Most prescriptions are now processed and sent electronically.
You can choose a preferred pharmacy to receive your electronic prescriptions. The NHS calls this having a nominated pharmacy.
When you sign up to LloydsDirect, we’ll become your nominated pharmacy. This lets your GP send your prescriptions directly to us.
Every order you place will be confirmed by your GP. So you don’t need to worry about ordering the wrong medicine.
Telling us which medicines you have on repeat prescription is easy. You can do it in two ways.
Use the medicine search on our website or app. Any medicine you select will be confirmed by your GP when you order.
Use our mobile app to scan the barcode on a packet of medicine you already have.
If you’d prefer your GP to add medicine to your LloydsDirect account, you can sign up with NHS login.
You can sign up to LloydsDirect with an NHS login. If you do not already have one, you can create one on the NHS website.
Signing up with an NHS login has two main benefits:
your medicines will automatically appear in your LloydsDirect account
your prescription requests will go directly to the software your GP surgery uses, usually meaning they get approved quicker.
